BEWARE of the new virus, from what little I've read it looks like you can
actually get it from going to a web page if you run Internet Explorer. If
you do run IE make sure you turn off JavaScript and if you use Outlook
don't open any attachments and turn off the preview pane.
My server has been probed just under 4,000 times sine this morning looking
for something to exploit! For comparison CodeRed generated under 1,000
hits over then entire period.

anybody else seen any impact from the new MS worm yet? it's pretty
sophisticated:

the fact that it makes both the MMC and Notepad/Wordpad suspect is pretty
slick. some of the registry changes are pretty sophisicated, too - I've
seen reports that it changes your default DNS servers.

UPDATE: ClearChannel has issued a press release [1] saying that a
blacklist "never existed." However, in other reports such as [2], a
ClearChannel spokesperson says that it was "a grass-roots effort" by some
unnamed program director, who circulated it without corporate approval. In
[3], a ClearChannel VP says that some program directors started emailing
each other about inappropriate titles, and ClearChannel sent the finished
list to all program directors. There is also an update on FuckedCompany,
which I found at [4], in which someone talked to a representative, who
danced a bit. --jdcc

ClearChanel, the radio station conglomerate that owns something like 40%
of the radio stations in the US has created a list of inappropriate songs.
