Stuff from a whole bunch of people I've never heard of and some that I
have. Rules of entry are that it must be less then 200 words, and I
like that many of them include a picture of the author.
I like the mood of this one.
Adam.

The worst part's the train ride there. Back when It Was Bad, I'd make
the call and head downstairs, knowing it would take me as long to get
from the fifth floor as it would take "Markus" to bring me my dope.
It's no different. You can quit drinking, quit drugging, quit smoking,
drink wheatgrass and wash your insides out with saline every night
before bed, but you can't trade in your bones. I'm cramping and naked,
if you know what you're looking for. The old blonde with the bruised
tooth knows. She's staring.
I don't let myself run. I walk, albeit briskly, off the platform, past
the junk-sellers, past the assholes haggling over a stolen bike. I have
my 4 dollars in pocket. There's no line. The fat man ushers me into my
car -- the front car, always the front car -- and the safety bar comes
down and my clit lights up and I'm scared. I'm never not scared. We
jerk to a start up the wooden hill with a horrendous metal shriek and a
series of clack...clack...clacks. This is my reset button, my one shot
too many. I need this. I throw my hands up and I scream.
