the long long silence of talking to myself (update: the archives are now fixed up)

kind of embarrassing given that i'm a sysadmin and all, but  
apparently the mail list server died back in june and because of that  
all the messages i've been sending haven't actually been making it to  
anyone.

particularly annoying since i've been rather good about sending out  
interesting and regular posts for the last couple weeks ...  
<sigh> ... yay for talking to yourself in public.

rather then flood you all with several months of backlogged posts  
i'll just send them through to the archives and let anyone that's  
interested browse them directly (it's a bit of mess so it'll take me  
a couple days to sort through all the spam etc).
